Restoration Along Carpenter’s Run – Sign-up Here!
Join WRV and our friends at Colonial Canopy Trees (CCT) in bringing back native plants to a small tributary of the Wissahickon. We will be working in a shady spot along Carpenter’s Run right near where it crosses Kitchen’s Lane on it’s way to the Wissahickon.
WRV began work in this area almost 20 years ago , and this year we are working with CCT to restore diverse streambank trees and shrubs to protect the water quality and wildlife habitat along this stream. This project is funded by Weaver’s Way Co-op. We will be removing lots of invasive plants and installing many native trees and shrubs in their place. This will be a fun one!
Sign up below and we will contact you with details as the day approaches. (We will be meeting at the Kitchen’s Lane parking area).
(Note: you will be asked to provide your email address and phone number, rest assured this information will not be visible to or shared with anyone else).
Thank you for volunteering! Please consider supporting our work. Your donation will help keep the Wissahickon green and diverse, and all donations are Tax deductible.
