Thank You Ian and Welcome Andrew!

WRV would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Ian Schramfield (above, left) who served on WRV’s board since 2020. As our resident birder and native bee expert, planting sessions with Ian were always illuminating and fun!

Ian had an eye for the details that others might miss. During his time with WRV, Ian developed a pollinator planting guide specific to each of our sites that we’ve incorporated into our restoration plans. We wish Ian and his wife, Susan, the best in their new home in Cleveland.

At the same time, we would like to welcome our new board member, Andrew Conboy (above, right). Andrew is a certified arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture. Andrew has a passion for native plants and engaging communities in local ecology conservation.

Andrew founded the non-profit Colonial Canopy Trees based in Montgomery County, and is a video content creator that can be found on TikTok at @andrew_the_arborist.

Thank you Ian and welcome Andrew!
