VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP: Effective photography for plant identification with iNaturalist

Effective Photography for Plant Identification with iNaturalist – “Training” for the City Nature Challenge!

Hosted by Tatyana Livshultz, PhD

On Saturday, April 15, join WRV and botanist Tatyana Livshultz to learn how to make observations of organisms, focusing on plants, in advance of the City Nature Challenge, which this year takes place from April 28 to May 1. (Sign up for our City Nature Challenge events on April 30 and May 1!)

What is the City Nature Challenge, you ask?
It is an annual event is organized by Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and California Academy of Sciences, in which cities around the world compete against each other to see who can rack up the most observations, see the most species and get the most people out recording nature. Despite being a fairly densely populated area, Philadelphia and its surrounding counties have an impressive diversity of wildlife! So WRV is partnering with City Nature Challenge to get our volunteers out into nature to help with observations. We can do this, Philly! See the iNaturalist project page for more info.

Sign up for this session below. Then sign up for our City Nature Challenge events on April 30 and May 1.

We will contact you with details as the date approaches (you will also get some automated reminders). Note: you will be asked to provide your email address and phone number, rest assured this information will not be visible or shared with anyone else!
